In the browser, open the download page at memoq.com/downloads. Make sure to download the version stated by the project manager (currently 11) otherwise activation via our server will not be possible.

In the folder with the saved memoQ installation file, start the relevant file and follow the on-screen installation instructions.

memoQ can be activated in several ways, depending on whether you have purchased your own license or have obtained the license from the client/translation agency. Upon first start, the Activation Wizard starts automatically (or you can start it under the blue tab memoQ > Activation Wizard).
The following step depends on whether you have already purchased memoQ and already have the serial number or are installing the software for the first time and wish to install the trial version in order to purchase the license at a later date or obtain it from the client.

If you do not have the serial number or have never purchased memoQ yet, in the following step, click:

In the next window, enter all the information to obtain the serial number, tick the data protection clause below and then Next.

The software obtains the serial number automatically (in this case he "translator pro" version), which is valid for a 30-day- trial. After 30 days (or any time before that) memoQ needs to be activated by purchasing your own serial number or by obtaining the license from the client/us (usually for each job individually).

If you wish to purchase your own licence and you have already registered your memoQ to obtain a serial number as described, visit the licensing page and click:

and then:
The serial number you have obtained will be automatically linked to your memoQ.

When the window below appears, memoQ is activated.

If you wish to obtain the licence for individual jobs from us, in the Activation Wizard, click:

The following window lists the available servers. Find your client's server (for us, it is memoq.leemeta.com). During the first use, the server will not be listed yet, therefore you need to select the option below to enter a new one:

Enter the server information: address (memoq.leemeta.com), user name and password (you get them from the project manager). Then click Check login and wait for the message SUCCESS to appear and click Next. memoQ is activated.

memoQ allows to view/refresh licenses directly in a relevant menu without going through the wizard. This option can be found on the main screen under the blue memoQ tab.

The tab offers several options. Client's (server) licenses can be refreshed if memoQ loses the connection to the license (Refresh licence), you can start the activation wizard (identical to the steps above – Activation Wizard) or enter the licenses overview directly (Activation).
