Customer Pickup

  1. 1

Customer is notified of order completion

    • Once the order is completed the bookkeeper will email the customer and let them know their order is completed and ready for pickup.
    • The bookkeeper will check to see if there are other orders in the system, so the customer can decide if they want to pick up all orders at one time.  We want to prevent the customer driving down here twice.
  2. 2

    Pick-up in front office

    • Greet customer and lookup their orders in Shopworks
    • Remember to look at all orders in process.
    • Take payment from the customer. If they can pay TODAY, get payment. Usually, they have a credit card ready to go.
    • Buzz the factory and let them know a customer is coming to pick-up.
    • Please let the factory know what orders and their payment status.

  3. 3

    Pick-up in factory

    • Greet customer immediately. All employees can greet the customer and then find a person who can help them. Do not let the customer stand there looking around.
    • Look up their orders in Shopworks.
    • Remember to look at all orders in process
    • Take payment from the customer. If they can pay TODAY, get payment. Usually, they have a credit card ready to go.
    • Open the first box and show them their order. Make a compliment on how nice it looks.
    • Sign out in the customer pickup book. We have had instances where they claim they never picked up and didn't pay their bill.
    • Load their boxes into their vehicle.
    • Give them a promo item and thank them for their order.
    • Quick note in Shopworks main screen that they picked up. Date stamped with note: PICKED UP.
