B.01. Customer Shipping Policy

Why do we have this Policy?

This policy is meant to clarify to employees and to customers of BJ Electric Supplies Ltd. (BJE) when customer shipping charges will be applied.

This policy also clarifies the meaning of BJE's shipping terms and conditions using International Commercial Terms 2020 ("Incoterms 2020"), the global standard language for freight terms.

Customer Shipping Policy.

BJ Electric Supplies Ltd. (BJE) uses a combination of third party carriers and BJE fleet vehicles to get product to customers. BJE uses the following terms on shipment documents: "Pick Up", "Lock Box", "Curbside", "Collect", "Delivery", and "Prepaid".

For orders that are labelled "Pick Up", "Lock Box", and "Curbside", the customer will be contacted in a reasonable time frame as the order is filled.

For any order marked as "Collect", the customer will be contacted in a reasonable time frame as the order is filled and the customer will be responsible for all shipping charges. Certain specialty products will incur extra freight charges due to dimensions or weight, and will always ship Collect, including but not limited to:

- strut in lengths greater than ten feet (10'),
- light poles, and
- cable tray.

For any order marked as "Delivery" and "Prepaid", the specified location's distance will be determined by this Map Radius Calculator or using Google Maps to figure out the nominal delivery charge; and

- if "In-Town"; any shipment Delivery charge shall be, at minimum, $25.00. To qualify for Prepaid shipment the order shall be valued at $750 or more.

- if "Out-of-Town"; the value of the Delivery charge shall be, at minimum, $50.00. Certain locations "out-of-town" will incur extra freight charges over and above this amount. To qualify for Prepaid shipments the order shall be valued at $1250 or more. All "Out-of-town" shipments will only ship to the nearest townsite address to the destination.

Who does this impact?

This Policy applies to all customers of BJE.

How is it done or carried out?

The method of shipment will be determined by the customer at the time of order with BJE. For Delivery or Prepaid shipments, BJE will only use carriers that have set rates with our logistics contractor, Econofast Shipping, who maintain a listing for reference, attached.
