RAP Working Group Meeting Report - 23/05/2025

Summary of the Meeting

The meeting was attended by key members including Katelyn Mani (Pedagogista) and Yasmin Austen (Nursery ECT). During this meeting, we revisited our unpublished RAP and discussed various tasks that need to be undertaken.

Key Actions and To-Dos

  • Create a vision for our RAP.
  • Identify the best ways to respectfully engage with the community, considering organizations like the Foundation for Sustainable Indigenous Health, Polly Farmer Foundation, and Noongar Outreach.
  • Organize a visit from a local Noongar Elder/person.
  • Incorporate the 8 ways of learning into the curriculum, complete with examples.
  • Update our mission statement and vision to include RAP components.
  • Add RAP elements to the newsletter and Friday emails to highlight events and updates.
  • Edit current actions and share updates.
  • Discuss the RAP further in staff meetings and align with QIP updates.
  • Add Australian Aboriginal Instrumental music into our school playlists
