Rank the sentences in your product video

  1. Overview

    You'll learn how I rank every sentence in my script, to make sure it stays interesting throughout the product video.

  2. Create a blank spreadsheet

    And put the following headings:

    LineNumber
    Version
    Script Line
    Simple
    Unexpected
    Concrete
    Credibility
    Emotional
    Story
    Smile
    Total

  3. Fill in the sheet with every sentence

    Put one single sentence per row

  4. Rank each of your sentences

    For each of your columns:

    Simple -> Smile

    give your sentence a 1 if you believe it matches that description or a 0 if you think it doesn't

    Your TOTAL column should be the formula:

    =sum(d2:j2)

  5. Revise sentences with a low score

    Look carefully at the sentences that you have scored 2 or lower. Is there another way you could write that section to increase its score?
