You will make a spreadsheet so that conference attendees know which room and what time their presentation is being held.
There are 3000 people attending the conference. We will turn your spreadsheet into a website, and lots of people will use it at the conference in Paris.
Make one spreadsheet with two sheets
Sheet1 should be named: Papers Sheet2 should be named: Times
Sheet1 (Papers) headings
Create the following headings:
- Paper Number - Paper Name - Paper Authors - Is Cancelled?
Sheet2 (Times) headings
Now make these headings in the TImes sheet:
- Group Number - Group Name - Room Name and Level - Date
Complete Sheet2 (Times)
Download this PDF: http://www.cigre.org/content/download/11596/366680/version/1/file/Meetings+Technical+Program.pdf
In the PDF, under the heading "Technical Meetings" there are five days listed:
- Monday; to - Friday, August 31st
Starting from Tuesday, copy the Group presentation information to the Times spreadsheet. Group presentations are marked as:
8:45-18:00
and start with a Group Number and Name. E.g.
B3 Substations, LE PALAIS, 2
would be entered into the spreadsheet as:
- Group Number (B3) - Group Name (Substations) - Room Name and Level (LE PALAIS, 2) - Date (Tuesday, 28th August)
Complete Sheet1 (Papers)
Download this PDF: http://www.cigre.org/content/download/16641/676989/version/1/file/DETAILED+TECHNICAL+PROGRAM.pdf
In this PDF, copy each of the Papers (starting with a Paper Number like "A1-101") into the Papers spreadsheet.
Here is an example:
- Paper Number (A1-101) - Paper Name (The new electric machine compensators of reactive power with double-axis excitation) - Paper Authors (Y.G. SHAKARYAN, P. V. SOKUR, T. V. PLOTNIKOVA, I.Y. DOVGANJUK, R.D. MNEV, N.D. PINCHUK, O.V. ANTONUK, M.B. ROYTGARTZ, D.V. ZHUKOV, Y.A. DEMENTYEV, V.M. SEDUNOV) - Is Cancelled (No)
How to know if it is cancelled?
The Paper Name says "CANCELLED" at the start.
If it is cancelled type "yes" in the "Is Cancelled" column.
And do not actually include the word "CANCELLED" in the "Paper Name" column.
