Add a blog to your Google Reader
Visit the blog page
We'll be adding a blog's RSS feed to our google reader account. These instructions were written using the Google Chrome browser.
We'll be using Dan Norris' inform.ly in this example.

Look for the RSS icon
Look around for the RSS Icon or a link to the RSS feed.
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication- It's like a channel that you can tune into be delivered the blog posts.
if you can't find the icon - step 3 is for you.
If you can't find the RSS Icon
A good guess is to use the url /feed/
Try typing
http://inform.ly/blog/feed/ into your browser
You'll get a page that doesn't look like an ordinary web page coming back. This file is the blog's RSS feed.
Copy the RSS Link
You can copy the RSS feed link you found.
1. Right Click and copy the URL to the RSS feed button you found; or
2. Copy the feed url you typed in step 3
Now head to your google reader account
http://www.google.com/reader/
Subscribe
Click the Subscribe button
and paste the URL of the RSS Feed you copied earlier:
http://inform.ly/blog/feed/
Then Add this feed.
Success
You'll see a message telling you that you've subscribed to the informly blog.
Now start building your own collections of blogs to follow!
