    Best Practices

    1. If a parent wants his or her child to be a walker, we ask that they inform the school where the child will be picked up.
    2. Update the information in the school’s dismissal system to reflect scholars that are walkers.
    3. Walkers are escorted as follow:
      1. NCA:  To Immokalee Road and released at the traffic light.

    Rainy Day Dismissal

    Following is a sample parent communication regarding rainy day dismissal for bike riders and walkers:

    For the safety of your scholar, in the event of a severe downpour, or if there are signs of thunder or lightning, bike riders and walkers will wait in the front office to be picked up. Parents must come into the front office to check them out.

    Any bike rider or walker who is not picked up will be held at the school until the heavy rain lets up and/or the thunder and lightning stop.
