The school's administration is expected to adhere to the following responsibilities aside from the responsibilities listed in the school’s policies.

    Administration Responsibilities

    The administration will:
    • Articulate the academy’s mission to its constituencies—students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and the community--and work toward furthering the mission.
    • Oversee the shaping of the school’s program and the quality of life in the school community.
    • Establish an effective manner of leadership that appropriately involves members of the administration and faculty in decision-making.
    • Oversee the retention, development, and evaluation of qualified faculty and staff.
    • Accessible, within reason, and communicates effectively with all constituencies.
    • Responsible for financial management, security and maintenance of student records, maintenance of the facility, and strategic planning
    • Ensure that every element of school life reflects the principles of safety, equity, justice, and the dignity of each individual.
    • Engaged within the broader networks of schools, school leaders, and the local community, including professional organizations.
