    About our QIPs
Our QIPs are living documents. They show how we reflect on our practice against the seven Quality Areas of the National Quality Standard. They record our strengths, name the areas we want to grow in, and set out the steps we will take. Each QIP also contains our statement of philosophy. The plans are shaped by the voices of children, families, educators and our community. Each school’s Educational Leader leads its QIP together with the Nominated Supervisor.
    Legislative requirements
    • Regulation 55: the Approved Provider must prepare a QIP for each service.
    • Regulation 56: the QIP must be reviewed and revised at least once a year, and given to the Regulatory Authority on request.
    • Regulation 31: a current QIP must be kept at the service and made available to the Regulatory Authority, and to families of children enrolled or seeking to enrol when they ask.
    • Section 172 of the National Law and Regulation 173: prescribed information, including the service’s rating, must be displayed at the service.
    Procedure
    1. This policy includes each school’s QIP and its latest A&R Report. A copy of the current QIP is also kept at each school.
    2. When a family asks to see the QIP, the School Director or Office Coordinator gives them access.
    3. The Educational Leader and Nominated Supervisor review the QIP at least once a year, after every Assessment and Rating, and whenever practice or regulations change significantly.
    4. Whenever a QIP is updated or a new A&R Report is received, the attachments are replaced and the table above is updated. Superseded versions are archived.
    5. Each school’s current rating is displayed at that school.
    Responsibility
    • Approved Provider: makes sure a current QIP is in place for each service.
    • Educational Leaders, Mrs Erin (Perth) and Miss Ashlee (Fremantle): lead QIP review and reflective practice.
    • School Directors / Nominated Supervisors: keep the attachments current and the QIPs available to families and the Regulatory Authority.
    Review
This policy is reviewed at least annually, alongside the QIPs.
