New Features! Videos, Groups, Reordering Steps…

We’ve been busy!

In the past week, we’ve added a few features that many of our users have been asking for.  These enhancements may seem like small details on the surface, but they will go a long way to making your procedures more visual, better organized, and overall, more effective at getting your jobs done.

Let’s dig in…

Videos!

Finally, you can now embed your videos directly in any steps in your procedures.  Whether you’re recording screencast demonstrations or shooting videos out in the field, now you can add that crucial bit of clarity by literally showing your teammates how to do each step.

You can embed YouTube, Vimeo, screencast.com, and many many other video services.  All you need to do is paste the URL to the video and viola!

Groups

We’re very excited about the new Groups feature.  Groups, allow you to package multiple procedures together into a group.  They’re great for when you have very long, involved procedures that tie in multiple procedures.

You might think of a group like a “Master Procedure” with several “Sub Procedures” inside of it.  Just another way to make your documentation more efficient and organized 🙂

Drag-and-Drop Reordering

The name says it all… Now you can easily reorder steps in a procedure by simply drag and dropping them into the order you want.  Finished writing your 20-step procedure but realized your last step is should be step 5?  Drag that 20th step up to the 5th position, and the numbering will take care of itself.  Simple.

More to come…

We’ve got lots of goodies lined up in our product roadmap.  As always, we’re hungry for your feedback and suggestions!  Get in touch and tell us what would make your job easier as you document your processes.

Very zen looking and looks like it could be very useful. A couple of questions if I may, would you consider:

    1) Having sub-groups?
    2) Ordering procedures within groups/sub-groups?

I offer online training, so a training topic would be a top level group which would have modules (sub-group level one). And modules are made up of units (sub-group level two).

    Thanks

    Joe
